Isn't it?? The syrup doesn't pour well out of the bottle; it has a tendency to run down the side of the bottle and leave a beautiful purple ring in your refrigerator...the spout mostly cures that issue. Also, the spout will run through your dishwasher (top shelf) just fine, and it needs a good cleaning once in a while. It'll get pretty nasty after a while otherwise. Thanks for the review!

Yes, that thing is the best. It keeps the little purple ring out of the refrigerator. It's a pretty purple ring, but it's a pain to clean up. Thank you!
